The hotel Jagdhaus Wiese offers numerous opportunities for getting away from it all, or for meeting friends and family.

The extensive in-house library, with its offerings from children’s books, through non-fiction, to novels and exciting thrillers, has something for almost every taste. There’s even some poetry.

Quiet company is pleasant when you are reading the paper, writing postcards or are deep in a book from our library. The reading room and bay room provide beautiful settings for this with their large panoramic windows.

If you want something livelier, meet up with friends and family in the local Jagdstube. Here you can share your experiences of the day, or pass the time with a game of bridge, skat or other card games...

On stormy autumn and winter nights in particular, the chimney corner is the most popular place in the hotel. What could be better than to end the day, after a great walk in the snow, with a tea or a hot chocolate in front of the crackling fire?

On sunny days, both of our terraces have their own particular attractions.

Relax on the courtyard terrace in front of the hotel and listen to the soothing splash of the Rothaarsteig fountain.

Enjoy absolute peace and the beautiful view into the Uentrop valley and of the Himberg from the sun terrace at the rear. Here, with a good bottle of wine, you can experience one of the incomparable Sauerland sunsets.
